He [Jesus] saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. About the fourth watch of the night he went out to them, walking on the lake…They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed…” Mark 6:48-51 NIV
Jesus knows our situation and our fears. He will “get into our boat” and bring calm, if we ask Him!
While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead”…Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” And immediately the girl got up and began walking…(Mark 5:35, 41-42 ESV)
Jesus said to the demon possessed man, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marveled. (Mark 5:19-20 ESV)
Though maybe not as dramatic, we have a story too. We need to GO and TELL!
Avalyn Joy is taking her time. She was due last Friday. Please pray!
"And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!’"
Let’s not wait until heaven to praise the Lord. Let’s praise His name now and forever!
"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created." (Rev. 4:11 ESV)
Scripture is clear that God created everything in the universe in six literal 24 hour days. There is compelling evidence that creation is not the result of random evolutionary processes. To God be all the honor and glory!
"Show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. There are still others to whom you need to show mercy, but be careful that you aren’t contaminated by their sins." (Jude 22-23 NLT)
Thought provoking song by my friend Scott Krippayne.
The Apostle Paul wrote, “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” (2 Cor. 13:5 ESV) To fail to meet the test means eternity in Hell. Ask someone you trust to be honest with you, “Do you see Christ in me?” If the answer is “No,” put your faith in Christ and repent of your sins before it’s too late!
